The only genesis possible for a project of this type can be that of a group of men, visionaries, whose way of looking at the world around leads them beyond the horizon.
The Solar Odyss ey electro-solar powered trimaran project was born out of the long friendship between Pierre-Marie Lemer, CEO of the Lemer Pax company and the yachtsman Frédéric Dahirel. Pierre-Marie Lemer is an experienced racing yachtsman and mulithull owner. Another highly-experienced and enthusiastic racing yachtsman in the shape of Jean Maurel completes the trio. In order to ensure the all-round performance necessary in a project of this nature, the team has sought the support of scientists and technicians among whom are architects, specialists in hydro and aerodynamics, energy management, propulsion, design, communication…
